Veterinarian
I'm Dr. Kelsey Plumpton, DVM, and am excited to be part of the Carlisle Veterinary team! I am a veterinarian who has had a lifelong passion for animal care and welfare. Growing up in the scenic Mechanicsburg, PA area, my journey in veterinary medicine began at Delaware Valley College (now University), where I laid the foundation for my career. I advanced my studies at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing a clinical year at Virginia Tech.
My love for animals isn't just professional; it's personal! My home is shared with a spirited 15-year-old Miniature Pinscher named Kiara, and Possum, a charming cat with roots in St. Kitts. When I'm not caring for animals, you can find me immersed in crochet projects or lost in a good book.
I love working with dogs, cats, and small ruminants like alpacas, goats, and sheep. What truly captivates me in veterinary medicine, however, is dentistry. The ability to improve an animal's quality of life through dental care is incredibly rewarding and is a testament to the comprehensive approach animal health needs!
